SNOW and 4 months old

Yea!!!! We have had snow the past two days and Matthew has gotten to be at home with us the past two days. Yesterday we didn't make it outside to play in the snow-the weather was kind of gross yesterday (misty, sleeting, blah). I figured, Nora isn't old enough to know what she is missing out on. But, today, we played a long time in it. Here are some pictures from our fun.

Nora is ready to go outside! She has her snowsuit and rain boots (which she insisted on wearing all day long...even when we went out tonight)

The snowman that we made (well, Matthew made...I did get all of the accessories though).

A few hours later...bye bye snowman. Also, Elyn turned 4 months old today. She slept through the fun in the snow, but I don't think she would have enjoyed being so cold. We went to the doctor yesterday, braving the elements, for her check-up. She weighs 12 lbs. 9 oz. (30th percentile) and is 24 3/4 inches long (70th percentile). Look at that cute belly! The doctor said she is very healthy. I was concerned about a persistant cough she has had, but he listened to her lungs a while and said they were clear. Here are some things about Elyn:-she has rolled over from her tummy to her back a few times, but she doesn't do it all the time
-she has rolled to her side from her back...I always think she is just about to roll on her tummy, but she fools me and doesn't quite do it-she wakes up once a night, consistantly, to eat. It is usually about 6 hours after I have put her down the first time. She got my hopes up about a month ago when she slept all the way through the night 2 or 3 times. Oh well, hopefully we will return to that wonderfulness in a few months.
-she still likes to be swaddled and doesn't sleep very well if she is not swaddled. I will swaddle her until she is 2 if it means she sleeps well. In this picture she had busted out of her swaddling blanket. I have ordered the bigger size.-we are about to start cereal, although that means extra work for me...not excited about that
-she laughs a lot...and it is the sweetest thing!
-she still spits up quite a bit. I'm looking forward to that ending!
-she is such a good baby and has a very sweet nature to her. She doesn't mind hanging out on the floor or in her bouncy seat/swing BUT she likes to know that someone is nearby. If she can't see someone or hear someone, then she usually starts getting upset.
We are very blessed with our two girls! They really make life enjoyable. Although, we often look at each other and say, "Can you believe they are ours?!". It is still crazy to think that we are parents...I wonder when that ends.

Elyn is soooo cute. I can't believe she is already four months!

Poor southern snowmen...they never last long. Same thing would happen here in Texas!

The black and white photo with the tongue - too cute! I wish we would have gotten some of the snow... Sadie has yet to see it, really!

Fun times.

Your girls are sooo cute! Nora has that lovely bleach blonde hair! I love it! Looks like you had fun in the snow...we kept praying for snow when we were up there and got nothing! I guess we will have to settle for Texas ice sometime this season!
