We're off

Tomorrow, Elyn and I are leaving for San Antonio, Texas. We are going for the National Women of Faith conference. I am really excited!!! I went last year and enjoyed it tremendously.

This is the longest that I will have been away from Nora (3 nights). I know she will be in good hands while I am gone...her daddy's hands. BUT, I am still anxious about leaving.

Why is it that as soon as I had kids I think about my dying? I'm sure I will be okay and everything with the plane will be fine, but still...it's right there on the tip of my brain.

We really should get our will done...I'll just put that at the TOP of our list of things to do.

I am positive that I will be uplifted and challenged this weekend. I also know that I will laugh so hard that I will have tears coming down my cheeks (and with a weak post-pregnancy bladder, who knows what else will happen).

Please pray for our little family as we are separated. Especially for Matthew as he tries to put Nora's hair in ponytail holders and bows-maybe I should invest in some cute headbands and help him out.

I'm off to pack our cowgirl boots...we're going to Texas, you know!

I do the same exact thing when I am away from my kids - wonder if I will die and never see them again. When Jon and I went to the Bahamas this summer (we were away from the kids for about ten days) I worried so much that I couldn't enjoy my time on the plane (Jon had even splurged and got us first class and I still couldn't enjoy it) and I don't usually freak out on planes. I will pray for your peace of mind.

Have a great time at the Woman of Faith conference. It's neat that you go every year. I would love to go sometime.

Wow, I'm glad it's not just me! Since Houston was born every time I take a long trip (plane or car!) I worry about dying! I thought I was nuts!:)

Have fun at your conference!

I love the Women of Faith Conferences too- so uplifting! The last one that I went to was in San Antonio as well!

Enjoy your kid-free time, even though I know it will be hard to be away from them!

Oh, you are going to have so much fun!!! Our group of gals went to the one that was here in DFW in August and it ROCKED....I bet the National one is even better (if if could get better!!)
Have a Blast...sing your heart out and everything else will be fine! I always tell Aaron that my dream job would be singing for the Women of Faith praise team...you get to sing and travel with Godly women!!!
