A wonderful day

Mother's Day was a great day! I was happy to spend it with my two wonderful gifts. We went to church and then went to spend the rest of the day with Grampa and Gram (Matthew's mom and stepdad). I am so blessed to have Nora and Elyn and to be called their mom.

And here is a video of Elyn crawling. I captured it first thing this morning. I'd say she is doing pretty good for just figuring it out two days ago! Not to be left out (because she never is!) I have added a video of Nora singing...such a beautiful voice at the early morning hour. You can also see how we use our bottles in the Henderson house. Since both of my girls have refused to ever take a bottle, we use them for other purposes.

Dallas what adorable dresses in the mothers day picture of the girls. I'm sure you made them and they are fabulous!

Dallas, the dresses are wonderful! You did such a great job.

Does Elyn have on leg warmers? Is this a new "knee protector" for crawling babies?

I love you, mom

The girls are precious in their dresses. Did you make them? If so, you should go into business. I will be your first customer!

Thanks everyone...yes, I made the dresses and they are SOOOOOOO easy. If you have a sewing machine and know anything at all about basic sewing, you can do it. They are pillowcase dresses and are made out of.....yep, you guessed it, pillowcases. It took me an hour, start to finish to make both. EASY! I'm kind of addicted to them now, so don't be surprised if you see them all the time now.

Oh Dallas-these are great pictures and video (I've yet to figure out how to post videos). I love the dresses! I have pillowcase dresses for my girls, but didn't make them (hooray for Ebay!)
If you do make them to sale, seriously, let me know-GREAT job!
Glad your Mother's Day was special!

Fabulous dresses, Dallas! We love the pillowcase dress around here. Now is the time to seriously consider smocking. I have a smocked pillowcase pattern that is super easy!

Way to go, Elyn! Lucy is still rocking on all fours. Isn't that funny since Lucy was rolling over first? I guess they all have their own timing for things. Your daughters are beautiful and you are a great mom. Thanks for being so on the ball with your posts.

I forgot to say I LOVE THE LEGWARMERS!!!!!!!

Hello blog buddies! It's me, Crouse! said...

yea, dallas! beautiful pillowcase dresses. i love the blue and brown. leg warmers are very cute also. emily was kind of crawling like on all fours but with legs straight, butt up in the air. wish i had had my video camera because it was hilarious. she refuses to crawl. i don't know if the hardwood hurts her knees or what. sorry about the swaddle. i just bit the bullet and broke emily when she was about 3 months old. i was also reading in babywise that you should take the pas around 6 months. not biting the bullet on that until 12 months for sure!!! girls are precious, dallas!
