I'm a little embarrassed. However...

*****UPDATED...I can run AND listen to music now! Thank you Michael Graham for spending over an hour on the phone with me explaining how to burn, rip, and sync. It all makes sense to me. It's so nice to have friends that understand what they are doing and can explain it to unknowledgable folks like myself.*****

I am going to ask for help.

Let me introduce myself.

I'm Dallas and I JUST became the proud new owner of an MP3 player.

I did not say "ipod", I said "MP3".

My sweet husband got online and ordered me a Sony Walkman. BTW, Walkman's have really improved over the years! Remember this?

Anyway, this is the one that I have.

I am super excited about getting to use it. But how do I use it?

I have read the directions, downloaded some songs on itunes, hooked up my device, clicked and dragged.

Nothing. Nada. Zip.

Very frustrating.

Without getting too technical...because, obviously, if I just became the owner of portable music device, technical terms are not up my alley...can you give me some pointers?

Thanks. You're awesome.

I have a sony mp3 player. Did you download the software to that came with it. I have never downloaded itunes to my mp3 player. I have always used amazon.com for my songs. I am not sure that itunes will work on anything but apple products. Hope this helps.

Itunes work on all products. I have an IPod, so I don't have any advice! Jim helps me with my electronic devices. I'll ask him.....

Thank God I am not the only person left on this earth that does not know how to work one.

I've got an ipod and don't really know how it works for the sony, but at least yours came with instructions. The ipod didn't come with anything. They just expect you to be smart enough. That was lots of fun. Trial and error worked for us. I'll be glad to try and help sometime, though.

Don't feel bad. I have had an IPod shuffle for over a year and have yet to use it. I guess that just shows my lack of technical knowledge and that I should be running a lot more often!

Congrats on the new MP3 player! It makes the time go by so much fast (especially on the treadmill!).
