Christmas Card 2008

Look what I made...
All by myself.

And honestly, that is quite an accomplishment since I have never used the "layers" feature that came with Photo Shop.

This is our Christmas card (that has already been sent out). For the past two years I have written a letter to go along with the picture card that I send. However, this year, I simply put my blog address on the card.

I looked at my card list and decided that most of the people that would be receiving one reads my blog. So they wouldn't be surprised by anything written in my letter.

I LOVE getting letters (preferably one paged letters)! It doesn't matter if I know every single detail of the person's life, I still love getting the newsletter. And the ones that make me laugh are the best (shout out to Williams' family).

If you missed my letter this year (all two of you), perhaps I'll write one again next year.

Honestly though, this post was intended for one main purpose...

to highlight my newly acquired photo shop skills. I know, I'm impressive.

I think it's something that most 10-year-olds could do.

Love the card, Dallas! Great idea to put the blog instead of letter!

That is so smart to put your blog on there.

When I received your card, I was impressed wondering how you had done that! I've dabbled in layers on Photoshop, but haven't figured it out yet!

I love it! Thanks, BTW. It's on our french board. I thought long and hard about how in the world you did that...I had no idea. Layering on Photo Shop. I'll have to try that sometime. Looks like fun, if I had any spare time to try it! Job well done! You should be proud.

I love your card!! I actually looked on the back and it said snapfish, so I decided to go on there and look to see if they had one I liked because yours was so cute. No such luck...now I know why! So cute!! :)

Wow- I'm really impressed! We have photoshop, but I haven't not even tried to get into it- now you've encouraged me to do so!!! You did a great job!

Wow! I am feeling special to get a "shout out!" Though you may know many more Williams families...

I LOVED your card and had no idea you made it yourself, so kudos to you! Next year we will do shutterfly (or similar) phot cards but I will most likely still include the newsletter. Esp since it makes folks laugh! HA.
