First day of Pre-School…Version “Nora”

Well, today was the first day that sleeping in ceases to exist.  Well, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays anyway.  Pre-school has officially begun.

Nora’s first day was today.  Nora is going to a new school this year and we are all very excited.  We decided to enroll her in Lifeway Christian School in the PK4 program.

I have a new part-time job doing some consulting work with a local school district.  I am working on Mondays and Wednesdays, so it was necessary that we find somewhere for the girls to go that offered a M/W/F program.  Matthew and I have been considering Lifeway for Nora for the past year but thought it was too far of a drive for us.

When it came down to it…yes, it is a lengthy drive (25 minutes) BUT it is close to the schools I am consulting with.

This is Nora and her teacher, Mrs. O on Monday at the Open House.

EARLY this morning…I don’t know what we’ll do when Daylight Savings Time hits and it is pitch dark in the mornings.

These pictures make me laugh…we had just gotten to the school and I stuck the camera in the back seat and these are the faces she gave me.  Ha!

Headed to her classroom…she was so excited!

After they put their backpacks up, they could sit down and work on some puzzles.  She was trying to choose between two “dress up” ones.

Right before I took the last picture, Nora asked me, “Mommies don’t stay?”  But, she wasn’t sad when she asked that…it was more like, Hey.  Mom’s don’t stay so GET OUT!  Ha!  She was ready to start her day without us in her face.

So, how did she like it?  She loved it!

She told me that nap time was her favorite time…a girl after my own heart.  I think it was her fave because they got to sleep on a little cot.  I’m sure she was exhausted though, I had to wake her from a coma at 6:30 this morning.

We are so looking forward to her year at LWCS!  We feel like this is going to be a great fit for her and for our family.

Stay tuned for Elyn’s first day-next week.
