After recovering from my kidney infection and all the interesting side affects that go along with the antibiotics I am taking (and I mean SIDE AFFECTS!!!!!!) I am needing to remember 10 things for which I am thankful, for my own well-being. So, here they are:
1. Cinnamon toast for breakfast. Yummmm! What could be better than buttery bread with a crunchy coating of cinnamon and sugar. I can't think of anything.
2. Free balloons at Chick-fil-A. Nora held the balloon in her left hand the entire time she was eating dinner tonight. She is very, very talented. By the way, I got her a yellow balloon in case anyone asked her, "What color is your balloon?". This way, she could tell them and the answer would be correct. Just trying to help her out.
3. Reece's peanut butter eggs. Thank you Easter Bunny!
4. Being employed, well, part-time at least. It was nice to go and teach tonight and get out of the house, even if it was just for two hours.
5. My hair is finally getting long enough that I can pull it back into a ponytail. And we all know that with the warmer weather coming up, that is the ONLY hairstyle I will have this summer.
6. Surprisingly, a minivan. I was able to pick up my friend and her kids today because she is car-less for a few days. It was nice having the extra seats to be filled by friends.
7. A needy little girl. Nora woke up from her nap out of sorts and only wanted her mama to hold her. It was sweet and I love times like that. I doesn't happen very often.
8. Apparently, Elyn had no meltdowns while I was gone to class tonight. That is truly something to be thankful for. She has been rather needy lately.
9. Sonic Large Diet Coke. Heaven in a Styrofoam cup.
10.Spring is around the corner! Our daffodils looked so pretty today. Too bad they all didn't come back this year though.

Hi, Dallas. It's nice to "meet" you! I'm so glad you found this and are joining in! So sorry to hear that you've been ill...NOT FUN! But am so happy that you have so many wonderful reasons to be joyful! And I'm right there with you on the Sonic Diet Coke! I go for the Route 44, though!!!
I HEART Sonic!! If I were doing my thankful list after 2 pm (Happy Hour) it would so be on the top of my list! he he he
I'm glad that you are feeling better and could get to work...it's so nice to get out of the house (dressed like a grown up) even if it is for a few hours!! I know Harding is so thankful for you and the great job that you do for them!!
I feel like I comment every day, but it's nice to find a blog that relates to my life in every way (only you make it seem way funnier). Yeah, the minivan was a huge step toward dorkhood, but I so love it...
#'s 1 and 3 are my most favourite things in the world! Course, this is why I am now moving towards a healthier diet... cinnamon toast every morning since Maggie was born has done little for my figure! I do miss Sonic though, but it's probably better that we don't have them up here in Canadia.
Oh, Dallas, I miss diet cokes from Sonic like you can't believe! It's not bad enough I am away from all of you in this cold northern place, but there is NO SONIC either!!
Thank you for reminding me of what I will get a taste of this summer on our visit! MJ
