Photos of our day

Our front yard

Our snow covered roof…the more I see our house in photos the more I realize we need shutters.  Guess who is supposed to be ordering them…not Matthew.

I love this…the sun shining through the snow covered trees in our yard

From the top of our driveway looking to the right…

and to the left.  That’s a lot of snow!

We wanted to get out around lunch time but before that could happen Matthew had to shovel our driveway.  Our driveway is pretty lengthy, like four car lengths long.  He had to shed his coat about halfway through.

We went to eat lunch and then headed to Wal-Mart.  We were shocked at the snow piles in the parking lot.  Here is a shot of one of the larger ones, look at how small Elyn looks.

Matthew climbed to the top just to get an idea of how much snow there was.  Good news though, the parking lot was pretty clear!

When we got home I couldn’t believe how large the icicles were.  There were larger ones but I decided to stay indoors-ha!

We spent the rest of the day reading books, making cards and playing games.

I know, I know!  I said we were going to go sledding.  It was bitterly cold this morning and then cabin fever set in and we HAD to get out.  Tomorrow is dedicated completely to playing outside and enjoying our, hopefully, last snow day of the school year!

If you climb to the top of the snow pile in the wal mart parking lot

You might be a redneck.

Just kidding, looks like fun!
